who can benefit
Any person who is experiencing difficulties in resolving issues that are confronting them, can access the Counselling service. No referral is necessary. The service is not constrained by any regional boundary.
The Centre employs a Counsellor who also supervises volunteer counsellors and interns. All have the relevant qualifications and experience.
The Centre supports equity of access to services. Counselling is therefore offered at no charge. However, a tax-deductable donation can be made in support of the service.
Counselling is appointment based, generally of one hour in duration. Contact is made initially to reception. The Senior Counsellor will then make contact to discuss the referral. This will help to match the person’s needs with the most appropriate Counsellor, who will suggest a time for the first appointment. Subsequent appointments will be arranged directly.
Counselling is available on Tuesday evenings for those unable to access the service during normal business hours.
The Centre is open weekdays 9.00am to 5.00pm. (03) 9803 3400.
Funding is received and gratefully acknowledged from: Donations from generous groups and individuals.
